These terms apply to all vehicle rental agreements entered into with CLS Vehicle Hire Ltd.

1. Agreement Formation

Your rental agreement begins once you accept delivery or collect a vehicle and receive the keys. By doing so, you agree to abide by the terms outlined here and in your signed agreement.

2. What’s Included

  • Vehicle road tax

  • MOT

  • Full maintenance and servicing (every 6,000 miles)

  • Up to four tyre replacements due to wear and tear

3. Insurance Requirements

  • You must provide fully comprehensive insurance for the entire rental period.

  • Temporary insurance policies are not accepted.

  • Cover must be in place before collection or delivery.

4. Driver & Documentation

  • You must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months.

  • Proof of address dated within the last 90 days is required.

  • A DVLA share code must be submitted for licence validation.

5. Use of Vehicle

  • Vehicles may not leave England, Scotland or Wales without written permission.

  • Disabling or interfering with vehicle telematics is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of the agreement.

6. Payments

  • Payments are made by bank transfer.

  • Late payments will incur a £30 fee after 24 hours.

  • Vehicles unpaid for over 7 days may be recovered by CLS without further notice.

7. Maintenance & Returns

  • Maintenance must be carried out as instructed by CLS.

  • Failure to attend a scheduled MOT or service will result in a £50 penalty.

  • If you return the vehicle early, a fee equivalent to four weeks’ rental applies.

8. Fines & Admin Charges

  • You are responsible for all fines, penalties, and tolls during your rental.

  • Tyne Tunnel PCNs paid on your behalf will incur a £30 admin fee.

9. Termination

After your minimum contract term, you may return the vehicle with 4 weeks’ notice. CLS Vehicle Hire Ltd reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
